AGIRA was created in 1976 and today is comprised of about 70 licensed professional tour guides to serve your needs.

Because we are all card holding professionals licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism we are authorized to provide guided tours in all historical monuments and museums.

Our Quality Charter

  • Our association of qualified guides has in-depth knowledge that is constantly updated with training sessions.
  • We have guides who work in 8 languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish,   Italian, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, and Polish.
  • We are dynamic ambassadors for our region, striving to make you to see and understand our cultural and natural patrimony in the most appealing manner.
  • We cover all facets of the region: our knowledgeable guides will tell you about the traditions, the food and wine, the industry, the natural surroundings, and of course, the history and architectural heritage found here.

Please note that French law (la loi du 13 Juillet 1992) prohibits AGIRA and its members from selling travel packages outside their own guiding services.

Nonetheless, we would be very happy to advise you on all your travel needs in our region.

Since November 9, 2011, just one national card replaces the 4 former titles of guides in France (Conférencier National, Guide Interprète National, Guide Interprète Régional, Guide Conférencier des Villes et Pays d'Art et d'Histoire).
